Waiting
Cool sand beneath my feet, your hair smelling so sweet.
Your with your friends, and I’m with mine. Staying out there till half past nine.
We text everyday after that, and I let you walk over me like I’m some sort of mat.
I say we should go see a movie, but you say your not that ready.
So we go real slow and steady, but it turns out you were seeing him again instead of meeting me.
So now I sit here waiting, waiting, waiting.
Some say I’m a fool, but I don’t care because your my jewel.
But I just stay here waiting, waiting, waiting.
Let’s fast forward from the beginning, he breaks your heart. Now neither of us is winning.
Instead of trying to help you out, I start boasting about.
He isn’t good for you, but truth is that I don’t know if that’s true.
I talk so much shit about him, when it was him I had befriended.
He gets cocky, and sends you walking.
You talk to nobody, when all you really need is that somebody.
And now you’re there waiting, waiting, waiting.
Some say you’re a fool, but you don’t care because he was your jewel.
Now you’re there waiting, waiting, waiting.
Some time has past, since I saw you last.
I’m in college now, then I see your picture and it makes me say wow.
Now you got me thinking what if, while I’m looking to see who your with.
Your still single, but you don’t answer when I jingle.
I start realize this is turning into my worst fear, down falls a tear.
I screwed myself over, without you I’m just a land-roamer.
I am the fool, and your the beautiful jewel.
No longer waiting, waiting, waiting.
No use in debating.
Because your’re no longer waiting, waiting, waiting.
